The Beluga mobile app does not require the creation of an account and does not request special permissions such as geolocation, access to the camera, microphone, contacts, or photos. 

When using the application, certain personal information may be collected if the user chooses to provide it, including: 

• a username; 
• age; 
• gender; 
• email address. 

This information is used to enable certain application features, improve the user experience, ensure proper operation of the service, and, when necessary, communicate with the user. 

The Beluga app does not collect the IP address or the operating system of the device.

We collect and use personal information only to the extent necessary to: 

• provide, operate, and improve our digital services;

• enable the use of certain features of the Beluga app;

We do not collect personal information beyond what is necessary for the identified purposes.

Application Download Platforms 

The Beluga app does not collect the IP address or the operating system of the device. However, downloading and distributing the application through the Apple App Store or Google Play may result in the collection of certain information by Apple or Google, in accordance with their own practices and privacy policies. 

Trouve ta ressource is not responsible for the privacy practices of Apple or Google related to the use of their distribution platforms. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies. 

8. Disclosure of Personal Information  

Internally, access to personal information is limited to individuals who need it to perform their duties. 

We may also disclose certain personal information to service providers or partners who assist us in operating our services, including: 

• Blanko, for the website; 
• Nmédia, for the Beluga app. 

These service providers are authorized to access only the personal information necessary to carry out their mandate. They must process this information in a confidential and secure manner, in accordance with their contractual obligations and applicable requirements. 

We may also disclose personal information: 

• when the individual concerned has given consent; 
• when such disclosure is permitted or required by law; 
• when requested by a competent authority or an authorized body.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. 

9. Location and Hosting

The personal information covered by this policy is hosted and accessible in Québec as part of our regular activities. If this situation were to change and disclosure outside Québec became necessary, we would take the required measures in accordance with applicable requirements. 

10. Retention, Deletion, and Anonymization 

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. 

For information purposes, the retention periods generally applied are as follows: 

• Contact requests, information requests, and support: up to 12 months after the last exchange; 
• Applications received as part of a recruitment process: up to 24 months after the end of the recruitment process; 
• Newsletter-related information: until the individual unsubscribes, then for the time reasonably required to process the request; 
• Optional information provided in the Beluga app: for the time necessary for the operation of the related feature or until such information is deleted, where applicable; 
• Analytical data and technical logs from the website: up to 14 months, unless a specific need related to security, system integrity, or a legal obligation requires a longer period. 

When personal information is no longer required, we securely destroy it or anonymize it, where appropriate and permitted by law. 

When a deletion request is received, we process it in accordance with our legal obligations and applicable limits. In some cases, certain information may be retained for the time necessary to comply with a legal, administrative, security, or evidentiary obligation. 

11. Security Measures  

We implement reasonable security measures that are appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information we hold, in order to protect its confidentiality, integrity, and availability. 

These measures may include, in particular: 

• access controls limited according to job functions; 
• authentication measures; 
• secure access management practices; 
• the use of technological means to protect information in transit; 
• appropriate administrative and organizational measures.

Multi‑factor authentication is used as part of our security measures when applicable. 

Despite the measures in place, no method of transmission or storage offers absolute security.

13. Automated Decision-Making, Profiling, Privacy Settings  

Trouve ta ressource does not use, on its website or within the Beluga app, any decision‑making process based exclusively on automated processing of personal information that produces a decision affecting an individual.

We also do not carry out profiling within the Beluga app.

The Beluga app currently does not require account creation or the activation of special permissions. As a result, it does not currently offer specific privacy settings related to a user account.

14. External Sites, Stores, and Hyperlinks  

Our website or application may contain links to third‑party websites, platforms, or services. The Beluga app may also be downloaded from platforms operated by third parties, including the Apple App Store and Google Play. 

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies before providing them with personal information or using their services. 

15. Changes to the Policy 

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. 

The most recent version will always be published on our website and, when required, made available through the Beluga app. 

In the event of a significant change, a notice will be published on the website and within the Beluga app.
